Trust and Obey: Praise That Walks
Day 3 from the “All The Praise Belongs: A Devotional on Living a Life of Praise”
Scripture:
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.” — Proverbs 3:5 (NIV)
“If you love me, keep my commands.” — John 14:15 (NIV)
“Blessed are all who fear the Lord, who walk in obedience to him.” — Psalm 128:1 (NIV)
Devotional:
Sometimes praise looks like singing at the top of your lungs. Other times, it looks like simply trusting God with the next step. Trust and Obey reminds us that joyful, obedient faith is one of the clearest expressions of worship.
Jesus said, “If you love me, keep my commands” (John 14:15 NIV). That’s not legalism — it’s love in action. Obedience isn’t about control; it’s about trust. It’s about believing that His way is better, even when we don’t understand it yet.
Praise becomes a walk — a daily rhythm of listening, surrendering, and following. When we choose to trust and obey, we’re living lives that sing.
Prayer:
Lord, help me trust You more deeply and obey You more fully. Let my life reflect the joy and peace that comes from walking with You. I want every step to be an act of praise.
